Day 2 in Excelsior: GM Looting!

Day 2 is a very exciting day. I got lazy macroing skills so I started wandering in easy dungeons. But I got frustrated with the heavy lag I'm experiencing. I dunno why I am experiencing this but I'm sure the problem lies not with my PC nor my Internet connection. I'm using an upgraded Toshiba Satellite with Intel Dual Core Technology and its upgraded from 1Gig Memory to 2 Gig. My Internet connection is not slow because I have a 2.4Mbps connection here at home and its not the cheap one that gets disconnected after 3-4 hours.

While traveling in various dungeons, I always gets killed sadly because of the lag. Good thing a "GM" or Gamesmaster logged in and started an event. At first I don't want to participate because i'm still new in the shard and I thought that I do not have the skills to win the event. But this event is different. You don't need the skills to win because in this event, everybody wins! All you need to do is loot items on the ground that spawns and disappears really fast. With luck and GM Looting skills (I made that skill up and UO doesn't have them hahaha..), you should be able to get lots and lots of items. I got lots of gold, food items, deeds, platinum Ingots and Ethereal Fur in the event. Luckily, I have the GM Looting Skills with me that I gained on various UO shards. So much for the fun part.

After the event, I rested my laptop and went to the Recognition day in school. (read my previous post for more details).

After the Recognition, I logged back and started macroing again. This time, I found a Lesser Hiryu in Britain. It looks like a good pet so I tried to tame it. As for this moment, I'm still taming the said animal. I managed to raise my Animal Lore from around 32.4% up to 67.6% and the damn animal isn't tamed yet! Oh well, I guess I have to publish this first till tomorrow until I tame this Lesser Hiryu. Lord Britain Help me!

Recognition? Woah!

Yesterday i received a text message from one of my schoolmates in STI College Alabang. She was inviting me to attend the recognition day today. I was surprised by this. Me? attending a recognition day? At first i wondered what award will I get at school. I'm not really the studious type of person and never in my life since pre-elem, elementary and High school days have I attended such event.

So I attended the said event. I was late for 30 minutes! Good thing they just started when I arrived and I was shocked to see People wearing Togas. Omg! Its a Graduation Ceremony! I got nervous because i haven't received any special awards before. A Student Assistant at school recognized me and told me to go inside and take a seat to the Academic Awardees Section. I get to see some schoolmates whom I know excels in almost everything at school whether it was academic or non-academic. I quietly seated at the back because I don't even know why I should be there. So I tapped one of my schoolmate and a former classmate in one of my subjects to ask about the said event. So he looked for my invitation on his right side and gave it to me. Below is a copy of my invitation. Just click on the image for a larger view.

I immediately opened the invitation and browsed inside. there are names of Dean's Listers Inside. and on the third page, I found the Special Citations.

And there it was! The first one on the list was me! I got happy because i got the "Best in Computer Programming 2". Hurray to me! Compro2 or Computer Programming 2 is Visual Basic. That means I got the highest grade on that subject for the school year 2007-2008. Double Hurray! I got excited to blog about this because its one of my achievements at school. Below is the Certificate that i got. Again, click on the picture for a better view. All pics taken with a Sony Ericsson K550i.

Day 1 in Excelsior: The Beginning

Day 1:

It's my first day in excelsior. Even though i'm an old Ultima Online player, I find this shard totally different from other shards. This shard has lots of features even I don't know of. Gaining skills here is very fast. I've already GM'ed Animal taming as my primary skill with the help of a small skill jewel/stone. The new player area was great! I managed to GM* a couple of skills in less than 24 hours.

These are the skills that I managed to GM in less than a day:

Not bad for a noob eh? As of this writing, my Macefighting is already at 62%. The people are very friendly and helpful. Somebody even gave me pets and weapons to start with. Thanks a lot! You know who you are. Another player helped me find a certain key which they say is helpful in bringing lots and lots of reagents minus the weight. Without this, I'd be totally overweight all the time. Thanks to you too!

* GM - Stands for Grandmaster. It means the skill is at 100%

Ultima Online I'm home at last

After months of searching and careful consideration, I've found a new home in my own cyberworld. That is playing UO (Ultima Online) again. Still, nothing beats the adrenaline rush when you are playing UO. And i've decided to play on Excelsior shard. After 4 years of rest, i finally get to tame dragons, craft armors and do other things other people don't get to do in a virtual world before. In short, Roleplay at its best.

Now i can say that I am now really home. ^_^
